The Cité des Oiseaux bird reserve is one of the largest inland wetlands in the Vende. It has three lakes which every year are visited by a wide range of birds, including mallards, Northern shovellers, great crested grebes, common pochards and tufted ducks. The Vendee departmental council has developed a discovery trail including a museum, hide and footpath on the banks of the lakes.
