The swimming pool is heated and fenced for safety. We welcome children of all ages from babies to teenagers and have provided everything you need for the perfect French family holiday including a bottle of chilled champagne for the adults.Combining modern comforts with vintage charm, Le Cerisier has everything you need to feel at home. Colour schemes in blue, linen, and French grey are easy on the eye and as always our vintage finds give this gite a very stylish look. L'abeille was formed from part of our largest barn once used as the wine cave and where preserves were also made when it was a working farm. L'abeille is set in rural Charente the 'home of Cognac' and is a very peaceful and relaxing holiday location, yet only a short car journey away from civilisation. With views over our field complete with ponies and pygmy goats, a great amusement for children.
L'abeille is highly equipped and very family and child friendly with plenty of space for a great family holiday.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, with ample space for a cot. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Bedroom 3 has bunk beds & a cot which can be replaced by a single bed.
The ground floor bathroom has a both a bath and a shower, towels are included but we request that you do not use them by the pool. There is a separate wc upstairs.
The open plan living area is comfortable and spacious. Seating upto 8 with ease and includes television with satellite and DVD along with a hifi and CD.

[post_content] => Sunrise Cottage is one of two on site, alongside our house. The whole property is set in an acre of garden. Sunrise has a lounge/diner, kitchen and shower room downstairs. Upstairs are 2 good size bedrooms, one double and one with 3 single beds.
The cottage is comfortably furnished. In the lounge area is a large Charentaise fireplace with woodburner. Seating is a 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa. There is a mini hi fi with CD, tape player and radio and a TV/video player and a selection of books, videos and games.
The dining area has a large farmhouse table which seats 5 and a sideboard with all the crockery, cutlery, glasses and dishes that you will need. There is high chair for a baby/toddler.
In the kitchen is a double sink unit, gas oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine, toaster and all the necessary pans and utensils.
The shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and washbasin. There is a baby bath if needed.
The double bedroom has a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There is a cupboard on the landing for clothes hanging/storage space for the occupants of this room. The second bedroom has a chest of drawers and a fitted cupboard for hanging clothes and storage. Both bedrooms have the traditional little floor level windows, exposed beams and roof windows.

There is one large bathroom, with a wc, basin and family-sized tiled bath/shower (once a stone wine cuvee). The lounge/dining room faces east over the main lawn and provides a good view of the children's play area (it's easy to hop over the low window sill if necessary)!
An adjacent covered parking space is provided.
The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, full oven, gas hob etc. and also includes a small breakfast table (an old oak grape press). It has become an important part of our small family holiday complex and retains all of its original rustic charm.
Bel - Air is set in 25 acres of ground and to the rear are our woods with oaks, silver birch and sweet chestnut trees, hence the name "Les Châtaigniers".
This lovely three bedroom house with its exposed stone walls and multi-coloured tiled roof overlooks the courtyard, the fields and beyond to the woods. Sleeping accommodation consists of two spacious double bedrooms and a further large bedroom with two single beds and bunk beds.
The interior is of exposed stone with oak beams, many of which are original. Each room is very spacious, light and airy. It has two shower rooms (one on each floor) in the lounge there is a hi-fi unit and video and DVD players.
The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dish washer, fridge, gas cooker and microwave.

[post_content] => This self catering gite incorporates the remainder of the stables and the former hay barn. This was originally an open fronted barn used for storing and drying the hay and straw. The double height front has allowed us to create a very light and airy feel to the downstairs lounge with French windows across the whole width. The kitchen has been opened up to the eaves and is equipped as the others with the addition of a dishwasher and a large dining table for up to 8 people.
The main entrance is via the double doors into the dining area from the private patio which on this gite is at the end of the barn. The patio is fully block paved and bordered by the garden wall on two sides and fencing and trellis on the third. Besides the outdoor dining furniture there is also a large barbecue built into the old chimney on the outside wall.
