[post_content] => La Croix is a beautiful, newly renovated, 3 bedroom loire gite to rent, just north of Saumur. It has been renovated in a contemporary manner providing all modern home comforts whilst retaining many original features. It is perfectly located to relax and explore the famous and not so famous sights of the Loire Valley, France. Situated in amongst rural farmland on the edge of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine National Park it is a perfect place to sit, relax and unwind whilst sampling a glass of wine from one of the many Loire vineyards.
La Croix has a large lounge / dining room with a feature fireplace and log burner. We have equipped the lounge with a TV (UK freeview channels), DVD and a PS2 games console. There are a selection of DVDs and games for you to enjoy.
La Croix has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps six people . There is a double and twin room upstairs and a king size bedroom on the ground floor. Both the double and king size rooms have ample space for a cot.
The kitchen is equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect including a washing machine, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine and fridge/freezer.
There are also two shower rooms, one upstairs and one on the ground floor. The ground floor shower room has a walk in shower/wet room.
Outside we have created a lovely area which enables guests to sit out in the sun looking over the fields - it really is a relaxing view with nothing to blot out the horizon! We have provided garden furniture for six people including an umbrella for those hot days. There are also a couple of sun loungers for those who want to do nothing but read a book and sunbathe!

Owners, Helen and Gary, who live next door, have many years' experience in the hospitality trade and believe that your visit should be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To this end, you can tailor your stay to suit your own requirements. You can choose full or part board or self catering. If you choose self catering, we are still happy to cook for you, just give us a little notice. We can also provide Continental or full English breakfast, cream teas and packed lunches. Bicycles are also available for hire.
Activities in the area include, cycling, walking, swimming and fishing and there are leisure parks, natural lake beaches and a vélorail close by. Gorron and Ambrières les Vallées have some useful shops, supermarkets and restaurants. In Gorron, there is a cinema which shows an English film once a month and there is a weekly market on Wednesdays. We are located only 20 minutes from the attractive regional town of Mayenne on the river Mayenne, where you can walk around the ancient chateau, its gardens and museum.
We are also less than 1.5 hours from Rennes, with Caen, St Malo and Mont St Michel being only around 2 hours away, so nice and close to the ferries and giving you plenty of choice for excursions. We have many chateaux in our area and are also close to the borders of Lower Normandy and Orne with many pretty towns and places to visit.

The delightful kitchen / dining room is open plan; the kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, cooker and microwave ,iron and ironing board.. The bedroom is on the 'L' shaped mezzanine floor. The sofa at the opposite end of the mezzanine is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the views over the countryside to Puy Notre Dame, with its famous church illuminated in the evening.

Situated in amongst rural farmland on the edge of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine National Park it is a perfect place to sit, relax and unwind whilst sampling a glass of wine from one of the many Loire vineyards.
La Croix has a large lounge / dining room with a feature fireplace and log burner. We have equipped the lounge with a TV (UK freeview channels), DVD and a PS2 games console. There are a selection of DVDs and games for you to enjoy.
La Croix has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps six people . There is a double and twin room upstairs and a king size bedroom on the ground floor. Both the double and king size rooms have ample space for a cot.
The kitchen is equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect including a washing machine, dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine and fridge/freezer.
There are also two shower rooms, one upstairs and one on the ground floor. The ground floor shower room has a walk in shower/wet room.
Outside we have created a lovely area which enables guests to sit out in the sun looking over the fields - it really is a relaxing view with nothing to blot out the horizon! We have provided garden furniture for six people including an umbrella for those hot days. There are also a couple of sun loungers for those who want to do nothing but read a book and sunbathe!

La Grange is situated in the hamlet of Les Rivieres. The old stone built Vendeenne barn has been transformed into a splendid country house sleeping 10 people plus babies.

Maison Botineau is in the hamlet of La Saivrie, a small community of 25 houses .The cottage was originally built to accommodate a farm worker's family but had been used as a farm building for storing hay until we renovated it.
